Can My Perfumes Go Bad It's sad to say, but yes perfumes can go bad. Most perfumes last for about two years, depending on the formula, before the scent becomes compromised. There are several ways that you can if not prolong the life of your perfumes and colognes,
at least you can keep from sending them to an early retirement in the trash bin.
You can tell if the perfumes have gone bad when the scent smells
overwhelmingly of alcohol or if it just smells differently that it did when you first bought it. Also, it is bad if it smells kind of like wine.
To increase the longevity of your perfumes, you should store them
in a cool dark place. Your refrigerator is a good place to store them.
You decrease the true scent of your perfume when you store your
scent in your medicine cabinet of your warm, muggy bathroom. The same goes for
the glove compartment of your car, or anywhere in direct sunlight.
