Whole Wheat Double Chocolate Chip Muffins

cups of whole wheat flour

cup of raw sugar

brown sugar

½ tablespoon of baking soda

teaspoon of salt

cup of milk

tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ cup of no-sugar-added applesauce

tablespoon of vegetable oil

tablespoon of molasses

cup of miniature semi-sweet chocolate chips
+ Preheat your oven to 350˚F.
+ Spray your muffin pans (or muffin
cups) with non-stick spray and set them aside.
+ In a large bowl combine all of the
dry ingredients - the whole-wheat flour with the sugars, unsweetened cocoa powder, baking soda and salt mix the ingredients
and make a well in the center.
+ In another bowl, mix all of the wet
ingredients - the milk, applesauce, vegetable oil, molasses and vanilla.
+ Pout the wet ingredients into the
well in the dry ingredients and stir until all of the ingredients are moist and lumpy.
+ Mix in ½ of the semi-sweet chocolate
chip pieces.
+ Spoon the lumpy batter into your prepared
muffin pans or muffin cups a little over half or ¾ of the way full.
+ Sprinkle each muffin with the remaining
chocolate chips.
+ Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in your
350˚ preheated oven.
+ Cool the delicious muffins for 15
minutes before serving.
